 which is both moth-proof and color-fast. The Sailor is jointed at the neck and shoulders
and there is heavy wire inside his legs to enable him to be self-standing.
He has realistic coloring, hand painted features, incredibly tiny sculptural hands,
and a mohair wig.  Based exactly on the Palmer Cox illustrations, our little Sailor
is set to sail the seas in his traditional blue felt costume consisting of bell-bottom
trousers and matching top with wide felt collar. His collar is decorated with silk ribbon and embroidered anchors and his hat has a wired crown and a hatband with "Volunteer" written across the front. On his feet, the Sailor wears striped stockings and tiny felt slippers.

comes wearing a traditional costume consisting of belted felt jacket with fringe
and hand painted designs, fringed trousers, a headband with feathers, and felt
 moccasins.  As a wonderful added accessory, he holds a handcrafted
wood and metal tomahawk in one hand
